Photo Guide:

Things to consider when choosing a photograph:
  1. Good Lighting – Was a flash used? Can you see a reflection in the subject’s eye? Are parts too bright to be seen? Is the subject too dark to be seen clearly? This is important for a good rendition of the subject
  2. Distance from the Camera – Are the proportions of the subject correct? Does the subject take up most of the picture and is clearly seen? Are any parts of the subject cut off?
  3. True Likeness – Is there a filter applied? Do the colours in the picture represent how they look in real life? Does the picture represent the animal/person well?
  4. Blurriness – Is the subject able to be seen clearly? Is the picture pixelated?

Terms and Conditions

  • Price Quotation: Stacey Barge Art will provide the Client with a written quotation for the requested artwork. This quotation includes the cost of materials, estimated hours of work, and any additional charges that may apply. Prices are subject to change based on the complexity of the project but will be agreed upon before the commencement of work.
  • Acceptance of the Commission: Acceptance of the commission must be made in writing (email is acceptable). By accepting the commission, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
  • Booking Fee A non-refundable booking fee of 50% of the total quoted price is required to secure the commission and begin work. This booking fee will be deducted from the final payment.
  • Photo Provision: For commissions based on photographs, the Client must provide high-quality, clear photos.
    The quality of the commissioned piece is directly related to the quality of the provided photograph. Stacey Barge Art reserves the right to reject any photo that does not meet the necessary quality standards.
  • Copyright: Stacey Barge Art retains copyright to the commissioned artwork form the Client’s photo. Stacey Barge Art reserves the right to share on their social media and website.
  • Time Scale for Portrait: The completion time for a commission varies and is dependent on Stacey Barge Art’s current workload, the complexity of the commissioned piece, and the size of the artwork. An estimated completion date will be provided when the commission is accepted. However, this is an estimate and not a guarantee. Stacey Barge Art will ensure they communicate regularly with The Client to keep them up to date with their commission.
  • Balance Payment: The balance of the payment is due upon completion of the artwork, before shipping or delivery. The artwork will not be shipped or delivered until the final payment has been received. Payment is taken via [Stripe or E-Transfer]
  • Sharing on Social Media: Stacey Barge Art reserves the right to share the commissioned artwork on social media and for portfolio purposes, unless specifically requested otherwise by the Client in writing.
  • Termination of Commission Request: The Client may terminate the commission request within 7 days of the initial deposit payment. In such cases, the deposit will not be refunded but may be applied to future commissions. If Stacey Barge Art must cancel the commission due to unforeseen circumstances, the deposit will be fully refunded to the Client.
